- Soniya Mehra is an Indian actress and yoga instructor based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- Soniya’s biological mother, Kiran Mehra, is renowned actor Vinod Mehra‘s third wife. Earlier, Vinod Mehra was married to veteran actress Rekha for a brief period of time but his marriage was fixed with producer Meena Broca; however, the marriage ended later and Vinod fell in love with former actress Bindiya Goswami and got married to her in 1980. In 1984, their marriage went kaput. In 1988, Mehra got married to Kiran Mehra; their marriage lasted for two years till Vinod Mehra passed away due to suffering from a heart attack in October 1990.

- Soniya was two years old when her father passed away. Later, Soniya along with her mother and brother, Rohan, moved to Kenya to stay with her maternal grandparents.
