- Ajay Maken is an Indian politician. He is an Indian National Congress member. He is a member of the Congress Working Committee and the general secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
- Maken attended Delhi’s St. Xavier’s School for his education. He later attended Delhi University to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2000, he studied public administration for his master’s degree at Himachal Pradesh University. From 1985 to 1986, he served as president of the Delhi University Students Union.
- Ajay Maken’s father turned him down when he first stated his desire to become a politician because Ajay’s uncles were also politicians and had died young.
- Ajay Maken is from a political and freedom-fighting family. Indian freedom warriors Jagat Ram, his maternal grandpa, and O. P. Maken, his paternal grandfather, were both involved in this. His other uncle Lalit Maken entered politics after his brother Satya Prakash Maken, a Metropolitan Councilor, passed away at the early age of 26.
