Amreen Bhat was an Indian television actress who was known for making TikTok videos. She was also famous for taking part in Kashmiri dramas.

On 25 May 2022, when Amreen was in her home, she was shot by terrorists. Her ten-year-old nephew was also injured by a bullet in his arm. After being shot, they were taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead, but her nephew was in a stable condition. The doctors said that she was shot in the neck.

The police stated that three terrorists of Lashkar e Taiba (LeT) were involved in the terror incident. After the attack, the area around her house was on high alert and a team was formed to search for the terrorists.

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah expressed condolence on the incident and tweeted,
Shocked & deeply saddened by the murderous militant attack on Ambreen Bhat. Sadly Ambreen lost her life in the attack & her nephew was injured. There can be no justification for attacking innocent women & children like this. May Allah grant her place in Jannat.”

She had more than 25,000 followers on Instagram and 14.9K subscribers on her YouTube channel.
