  • On 28 April 2019, she joined Women in Cinema Collective (WCC), an organisation which discusses the issues related to gender discrimination, assaults, safer workplaces, and misogyny against women; they help women raise their voices against sexual assaults and share their experiences, especially, the women that work in the Malayalam entertainment industry; however, women that joined WCC had to face consequences of getting less or no job offers in the film industry. In an interview, while talking about this, she said,
    After I joined the WCC, I lost a few opportunities, I was thrown out of one particular project. I stopped getting offers or even calls to auditions. I don’t know if men have become more self-aware or scared, but they’ve definitely become more careful while speaking to women.
