Divya Pahuja was a former model. In 2016, she was arrested in the fake encounter case of her boyfriend and gangster Sandeep Gadolia.

She started her career as a model and worked in a few print advertisements and photoshoots.

In 2016, she was accused of giving a tip of the Indian gangster Sandeep Gadolia to the Haryana Police. In the same year, while Divya and Sandeep were in a hotel in Mumbai, the Haryana Police shot dead Sandeep in a fake encounter. A few days later, Divya was arrested in the murder case and after being in jail for around seven years, she was released on bail in 2023.

She then started dating the Indian hotelier Abhijeet Singh. According to Abhijeet, Divya had a few obscene photos of him and was blackmailing him. According to the local police, on 3 January 2024, Divya and Abhijeet checked at Hotel City Point a hotel in Gurugram. While they were in a hotel room, Abhijeet asked Divya to share her mobile password to delete the photos. However, she refused to do so. After a heated argument, Abhijeet shot her dead. When CCTV footage of the hotel was recovered, it was found at around 11.45 pm, Abhijeet was seen carrying something wrapped in a blanket from the room. It was believed to be Divya’s body.
