- Jagdish Devda is an Indian politician. On 11 December 2023, he became the Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government. He is known for representing the Malhargarh Assembly constituency for eight consecutive terms. He briefly served as the Pro-tem Speaker of the 15th Madhya Pradesh Assembly but resigned to take on a ministerial role.
- He began his political journey during his college days. In 1979, he was appointed President of the Students Union at his college. Later, he joined the BJP as a worker and held various positions within the party.

- In 1986, he worked as an English Professor at Vikram University in Ujjain.
- Jagdish Devda also represented the Suwasara constituency in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly in 1990, 1993, and 2003. In 1990, he defeated Congress candidate Parvati Arya by 15,428 votes. In 1993, Devda won against Congress candidate Girish by 5,443 votes. However, in the 1998 elections, he was defeated by Congress candidate Pushpa Bharatiya by 4,098 votes. In the 2003 elections, Devda made a comeback by defeating Congress candidate Pushpa Bharatiya with a margin of 35,636 votes.

- Jagdish Devda won the Malhargarh constituency in the 2008, 2013, and 2018 Member of Legislative Assembly elections. In 2008, he defeated Shyamlal Jokchand of the Indian National Congress party by 3,688 votes. In the 2013 elections, he retained the seat by defeating Jokchand again, this time by a margin of 6,571 votes. In the 2018 elections, Devda defeated Indian National Congress candidate Parshuram Sisodia by 11,872 votes.
