She had three brothers named Ganesh Damodar Savarkar, an Indian politician, activist, nationalist, and founder of the Abhinav Bharat Society, Narayanrao Savarkar, a freedom fighter, and Vinayak Damodar Savarkar (popularly known as Veer Savarkar), a revolutionary freedom fighter, an accomplished politician, and author. He pioneered the political ideology ‘Hindutva,’ which he developed during his detention at Ratnagiri Jail in Maharashtra in 1922. He was one of the crucial leaders of the Hindu Mahasabha, a political party. Savarkar passed away in 1966.

She got married to Bhaskarrao Kale of Trimbakeshwar in childhood. The couple had three sons, Ambadas, Lakshman, and Madhusudan. Ambadas and Lakshman were doctors while Madhusudan was a Medical Representative (MR).
