- Mohammed Ashiq is an Indian chef who made headlines after becoming the winner of the MasterChef India Season 8 in 2023.
- When he was studying in 7th standard, he learnt cooking. His culinary skills were liked by his family and friends who encouraged him to become a chef. His financial condition was poor due to which he had to give up on his dream of studying hotel management and starting his juice shop.

- In the late 2010s, he opened his juice shop named Kulukki Hub where he tried new styles of preparing dishes.

- In 2020, he won Season 1 of the cooking reality TV show Master Class Chef of the Year which premiered on Namma TV.

- In 2023, he could not qualify for the Top 40 and was eliminated from the auditions of the MasterChef India Season 7 which aired on SET and SonyLIV. His mother wanted him to move to Dubai as a chef; however, he persuaded his mother to allow him to audition for MasterChef India Season 8 in 2023 which premiered on SonyLIV.

- He entered the MasterChef India Season 8 with his signature dish, Fish Fry Mangalorean style. He later emerged victorious by defeating Suraj Thapa, Rukhsaar Sayeed, and Nambie Jessica Marak in the final, and won a Rs 25 lakh cash award.

- After winning the show, Ashiq disclosed that he was the only earning member of his family, credited his family and friends for their support and said that he would open a restaurant in partnership with his brother-in-law with the money he won in the show.

- He also said that he would open a small studio to make YouTube videos about the various types of dishes and cooking styles. He said,

- In an interview, Mohammed Ashiq said that the dish that he prepared in the final of the MasterChef season 8 in 2023 was his best signature dish which he named Ocean View. He also said that he would like to learn more about continental cuisine.
