  • He was interested in sports since childhood and started playing cricket at the age of nine. He trained under Ludhiana District Cricket Association.

  • He started playing for Punjab Under-16 in the 2015-16 season and later played for Punjab Under-19 in the Vijay Merchant Trophy and 2017-18 Cooch Behar Trophy where he scored 529 runs at an average of 44.08.

  • In 2018, he played for Under-19 India and scored 82 runs on his debut against Sri Lanka on 17 July 2018 and went on play in two Under-19 Asia Cups.

  • In 2021, during a match for Mumbai XI against RBI in the JP Attray Memorial National ODI Tournament, he scored 171 runs which became the highest score ever in the tournament.
  • In 2022, he scored 578 runs in an innings in a match for Ludhiana Under-23 against Bathinda Under-23; he took 414 balls and hit 79 boundaries including 37 sixes and 42 fours.
  • He played his Ranji debut on 3 January 2023 against Gujarat and scored 123 runs. He made 214 runs in another Ranji match against Madhya Pradesh.

When MI’ score was 59 runs for 5 wickets against Gujarat Titans (GT), he scored 40 runs off 21 balls, and when MI’ score was 14 runs for 3 wickets against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), he scored 64 runs off 51 balls; it was his maiden half-century in the T20 format of the game.
