  • Chaudhary shifted to Punjab with his family when he was young. His first aspiration was to become a fast bowler, imitating the bowling action of former Australian pacer Brett Lee. He later switched to off-spin and eventually settled on leg spin. Alongside this, he also evolved into an aggressive batsman.

  • In 2016-2017, he played the Vijay Hazare Trophy in which he scored 25 runs and took 2 wickets against Haryana.
  • In 2017, Chaudhary became known in Indian domestic cricket as a player who excelled in both batting and all-round skills.
  • Being an all-rounder, he achieved success in the U-19 cricket team and got picked for the Punjab team. He played his first Twenty20 match for Punjab in the Inter-State Twenty-20 Tournament on 29 January 2017.

  • In 2019, Chaudhary attempted twice to join the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL), but it didn’t work out.
  • However, during a family vacation in Brisbane in 2020, when borders closed due to COVID-19, he took the opportunity to try his luck in Australia.
  • In an interview, he talked about his decision to move to Australia and said,
    My first goal when I moved to Australia was to be playing in the Big Bash. I would describe myself as a finisher. I’ll be there at the end in the last couple of overs scoring a couple of big ones and finishing the game for the team that will be my goal for this year.”
