- Reportedly, in 2023, her account was restricted on Instagram account. To restart her account, she contacted a boy on Instagram whom she thought was an official of Instagram. However, she was unaware that he was just a hacker.
- A few days later, the boy asked her to pay Rs 25000 to unblock her account. She agreed to it and her account was unblocked.
- After a few months, her Instagram was again blocked. She then contacted the same boy, who had unblocked her account. The boy said that as she uploaded some inappropriate content on Instagram, her account got blocked. The boy then asked her to pay $250 to $400 to unblock her Instagram account.
- Later, Sahu refused to pay the money as she did not have that much money. The boy then made a deal with her. He said that he would unblock her account for free, in exchange for her nude photos and videos.
- Initially, she was unsure of sharing the photos and contacted one of her friends (a rumoured boyfriend) for advice.
- While talking about the same, one of the YouTubers shared that when she asked her rumoured boyfriend for advice, he refused her to share the photos. However, Sahu was so desperate to get her Instagram account unblocked that she did not listen to her friend and shared nude photos and videos with the hacker.
- Within a few hours, her photos went viral on social media. She then asked her male friend to help her share the photos and videos with him.
- When her father saw the viral photos and videos, she asked Sahu about the whole situation, she said it was fake and was AI-generated.
- Her father then decided to register an FIR in a local police station. In the initial investigation, her rumoured boyfriend was accused of sharing her photos and videos.
- In further investigation, her rumoured boyfriend was found not guilty. Later, a few media sources shared that Sahu attempted suicide and was admitted to a hospital.
- The local police then filed a case against the person who leaked her photos and videos under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Information Technology (IT) Act.
