- Suresh Selvarajan worked as an art director for the film Krrish 3 in 2013 and the Tamil film ‘Yaan’ in 2014. Meanwhile, he also worked on short films like ‘Shaadi Vaadi,’ a Hindi short film in 2014, and an English short film called ‘Water is Life’ in the same year.
- In 2015, he worked as a production designer for the Hindi film Brothers and Tamil film Radiopetti. Suresh Selvarajan then went on to work as a production designer for several films such as Iru Mugan (Tamil; 2016), Bharath Ane Nenu (Telugu; 2018), Petta (Taimi;2019), and Acharya (Telugu; 2022).

- In 2017, Suresh Selvarajan joined director Koratala Siva for the film Bharat Ane Nenu. The film was released in 2018. It was their first project together, and Suresh designed an exact copy of the State Legislative Assembly in a studio in Hyderabad for the film.
- He also made a temple set worth Rs. 4 crore for the “Vachaadayyo Saami” song, which appeared only once in the movie. Suresh’s work on Bharat Ane Nenu impressed Koratala Siva, leading to Suresh being selected as the production designer for Acharya (2022). Soon after its release, Suresh Selvarajan received an appreciation call from an unknown common man. Once, in a media discussion, he narrated the compliment he received for the film Acharya. He said,
Generally, technicians are appreciated by directors and other insiders, common people hardly speak about the work of technicians. I received a call from an average movie-goer, and I’m grateful that Acharya took my name and work to common people.”
- In 2022, in the Telugu film Acharya, Suresh Selvarajan designed the made-up town of Dharmasthali, which is considered the largest set ever built in India. The set covered 20 acres and had a temple, a tribal area, and a river bed.

- Suresh’s work on the film was praised by producer Ram Charan, critics, and audiences. It took him four months to plan and three more months to build. Later, the fictional town was offered for free to Salman Khan’s ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.’
- On 27 February 2023, a big fire happened on the Acharya film set near Kokapet Lake in Hyderabad. The grand temple structure of Dharmasthali caught fire, and its video went viral. Reports said that someone on the set was smoking, and after throwing away the cigarette butt, a fire started.

- Suresh Selvarajan worked on Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, released on 1 December 2023. In the film, he built the 500 kg machine gun from scratch using real steel over four months. According to Suresh, this machine gun was not CGI-generated.
