Tarun Namdev started his career as a social media influencer via the video-sharing platform TikTok, which was banned in India in June 2020. In the same year, he established a YouTube channel titled I_am Tarun on which he uploads his dance videos. He has more than 304K subscribers on I_am Tarun. In 2021, he started his second YouTube channel, Tarunn Ke Vlogs, which features his daily lifestyle vlogs. In August 2022, he received the YouTube Silver Play Button, for surpassing 10,00,000 subscribers on his channel.

He is immensely appreciated for his spontaneous public performances. In 2021, one of his videos which blew up on the internet was in which he danced with a “desi dadaji” on the song O O Jaane Jaana. Tarun gained public attention when Hrithik Roshan commented on the viral dance video.
