
RAIPUR: At least 10 District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and a driver were killed in an IED blast triggered by suspected Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s insurgency-hit Dantewada region on Wednesday.
TV reports suggested that the incident happened when a DRG force was returning to its base after carrying out an anti-Maoist operation.
Reacting to the incident, chief minister Bhupesh Baghel said, “it is is very saddening. My condolences to the bereaved families. This fight is in its last stage. Maoists won’t be spared.”
