Kapil Sharma mourns the demise of PM Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben; writes a heartfelt note

Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma took to Twitter to mourn the demise of PM Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben.

His tweet read in Hindi, “Aadaraneey @naraindramodi jee, maa ka duniya se chale jaana bahut hee dukhadaayee hota hai. unaka aasheervaad hamesha aapake saath rahega. eeshvar maata jee ko apane shree charanon mein sthaan den ham yahee praarthana karate hain om shaanti.” (Respected @narendramodi Yes, it is very painful for the mother to leave the world. Union Minister and former actress Smriti Irani mourned her demise and in a tweet wrote, “The demise of PM @narendramodi ji’s mother Shri Heera Ba is very painful news. Mother has a special place in a person’s life. I pray to God to grant the departed soul a place at his feet and give strength to the Prime Minister and his family to bear the loss. Om Shanti.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi, who was admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad, passed away at 100. Informing about her demise, the Prime Minister posted a heartfelt tweet early Friday morning (December 3), “A glorious century rests at the feet of God… In Maa, I have always felt that trinity, which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values.” PM Modi recalled his visit to his mother on her 100th birthday this year

PM Modi, who was scheduled to embark on a visit to West Bengal, cancelled his tour and arrived at the residence of his late mother Heeraben Modi in Gandhinagar. Currently, last rites of Heerabai have begun with the PM leading the funeral procession.
