Madhabi Mukherjee health update: Intravenous iron delivered to the veteran actress, condition stable now | Bengali Movie News

Veteran actress Madhabi Mukherjee’s health condition slowly improving and doctors are saying that she is currently ‘hemodynamically stable’. If everything goes according to plan, she will be discharged from the hospital soon after a few more tests are performed.

Since Mukherjee has already shown an impressive amount of improvement doctors have stated she is out of danger now. Her sugar level is in stable condition now and doctors have given her an intravenous iron injection to treat anemia. There’s nothing serious found in her endoscopy report as well.

“Her health is improving both clinically and symptomatically. Some more tests will also be carried out on the patient for minor age-related problems. She is expected to be discharged soon,” a press statement issued by the private hospital read.

The veteran actress was admitted to a South Kolkata private hospital on April 29 with weakness as she was suffering from persistent anemia and uncontrolled diabetes.

Since then a series of medical tests have been done on the 80-year-old legendary actress to diagnose the cause of chronic ailments. A team of doctors has been keeping a close eye on her health status.

Madhabi Mukherjee is known for acting in many critically acclaimed Bengali films, including Satyajit Ray’s ‘Charulata’. She was honoured with the National Film Award for ‘best actress’ for her performance in ‘Diba Ratrir Kabya’.
